Since September 2015 I have started my PhD at the research Group Professional Performance in the AMC. The goal of my PhD research is to provide insight into how receiving feedback on current performance could have an effect on future performance of medical specialists. My research is part of the project “Quality care for clinical supervisors and residency training programs”, which is financed by the Ministry of Health, as well as the Academic Medical Centre and the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands.
In 2010 I received a Bachelor of Arts in Art History at VU University Amsterdam, followed by a Bachelor in Psychology (2013) and Master in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) in 2014. During my internship at the Onze Lieve Vrouwe Gasthuis (OLVG) in Amsterdam my interest in the medical training system got triggered. After obtaining my Master’s degree I worked as a teacher at the department of Psychology at the University of Amsterdam. This teaching experience got me even more interested in educational aspects such as critical reflection, adequate communication and collaboration.
