What?
TeamQ evaluates teamwork of members (all supervisors) in clinical teaching teams. The evaluation report contributes to improving insight of the teachers into the functioning of their teaching teams. The report can be used as guidance in the development of teamwork within the teams.
Why?
It is expected from medical specialists in teaching hospitals that they function within clinical teaching teams: supervisors are together responsible for the learning climate in the department, the learning process of the residents and the quality of training.
How?
The evaluation is based on a questionnaire covering 8 different themes of teamwork: educational tasks, teamwork, decision making, leadership, feedback, results, individual education and active learning. The questionnaire consists out of 48 statements. A 5-point likert scale allows you to rate the current situation in the teaching teams. TeamQ is validated and developed together with clinical teachers. The validity and trustworthiness of the questionnaire is continuously studied.
By whom?
Members of the clinical teaching team give individual opinions about the functioning of their group. Completing individual questionnaires takes about 10 minutes.
Feedback report?
Each clinical teaching team receives a single evaluation report that consists of three parts:
Part1: The total score of the results.
Part 2: Detailed information and scores for each theme and item of teamwork.
Part 3: Top 3 teamwork aspects that you want to work on.
Anonymity
Participation in TeamQ is anonymous for the members of the clinical teaching team (all supervisors). The result is a single group evaluation where individual performance assessments cannot be identified. The results will be, after consultation, only be used for research.
